Short and Long Vowels Words

In this activity students sort a list of words into "short vowel words" and "long vowel words". For every vowel there are 40 words; 20 words with short vowel and 20 with long vowel. Give the student the words one by one combining between short and long vowel words for them to sort them out as they read it. It will help them identify the patterns; helping them improve their reading abilities as they encounter these or similar words in books.
